Steep climb out of forest to the Shira Plateau — wide panoramas begin.
Cross to Lava Tower for acclimatization; descend to Barranco Camp; evening Barranco Wall approach.
Technical Barranco Wall morning, then ridge walking to Karanga for rest and prep.
Short day to Barafu, final prep for summit: early rest and briefing.

FAQs
It’s the minimum recommended. Fit trekkers with previous high-altitude experience do fine, but if you’re worried about altitude, strongly consider adding the 7-day version (extra night at Karanga for better acclimatization – +$300 pp).
Night temps at Barafu can drop to -15°C (5°F). Summit morning feels -10 to -20°C with wind chill. Proper 4-season gear is essential.
Gold & Diamond include power banks/solar charging stations. Silver has limited options.
Only Diamond includes supplemental oxygen (2L & 5L bottles carried). Gold carries emergency bottle only.
Silver ~82–85%, Gold ~90%, Diamond 95%+ (due to better staff ratios, monitoring, and private pacing).
